Conal Walsh - Consultant

I help run Powerscourt's special situations practice, and have a particular interest in crisis management. We do serious reputational work for several of the world's highest-profile companies, and since joining Powerscourt in 2009 I have briefed Board-level clients on some of the most talked-about issues of the day. Previously, I was a strategy consultant, providing analysis to corporations on operational, pricing and restructuring issues; that work was enjoyable too, but the greater amount of client contact that you get as a PR consultant makes this job far more satisfying.

I studied History at Oxford, later taking a Masters in Asian Studies at London University and an MBA at INSEAD. Most of my career has been spent in journalism, principally as Business Investigations Editor at The Observer in London. I use my knowledge of reporting and media contacts every day at Powerscourt, but I'm also glad to have made the move to a friendly, fast-growing enterprise with terrific commercial prospects.
