The team's recent work has included advising on the successful IPO of Betfair, the leading online sports betting company; handling the media around Independent News & Media's sale of The Independent; and working with Balderton Capital as its portfolio company Lovefilm was bought by Amazon.

 The TMT team works with technology, media and telecoms companies at all stages of their development - from young start-ups raising their first finance, through rapidly growing private firms as they pursue important milestones and partnerships, to larger listed companies that need investors to understand their progress. Through the life cycle, Powerscourt has the experience and skills to help.

As head of the TMT team, I draw upon the understanding and knowledge gained during seven years writing about those industries at the Sunday Times. Before Powerscourt, I spent 18 years in national newspaper financial journalism, at The Independent, the Mail on Sunday, The Times and finally The Sunday Times, where I was City Editor and Financial Editor.
