The Powerscourt Advisory Group
The Powerscourt Advisory Group consists of senior figures from the worlds of business, finance and public policy. The Group exists to provide additional resource to the firm and its clients, particularly around capital market transactions.
Its members include:
- Sir Charles Allen, a senior adviser at Goldman Sachs, Chairman of Global Radio and director of a number of companies
- Phil Nolan, senior adviser to Warburg Pincus, Chairman of John Laing plc and former CEO of Lattice Group and Eircom
- Ian Birrell, media commentator, Deputy Editor of The Independent for 12 years and speechwriter for Prime Minister David Cameron during the 2010 British General Election
- Roddy Kennedy, formerly Head of Media with BP
Rory Godson, Founder of Powerscourt, said: "We think that having access to the battle-hardened skills of this group will provide a valuable source of experience for clients undertaking capital markets transactions and other strategic communications.
"Charles and Phil, our original Advisory Group members, have had great success over many years in business. They have managed and chaired substantial listed and unlisted enterprises. Their presence is a real boost to Powerscourt.
"Ian, who joined us in 2010, has unrivalled contacts and deep knowledge of public policy. In a period of coalition-related uncertainty, regulatory change and heightened government intervention in the economy, he provides invaluable strategic public affairs insights.
"Roddy, our most recent appointee, worked with BP for over 30 years and has unrivalled experience at the heart of a global company that has faced every variety of communications challenge."
Additional appointments to the Advisory Group will be announced in due course to reflect the areas of expertise that Powerscourt offers to its clients.
