MEDIA: Powerscourt’s David Lloyd-Seed talks to IR Magazine

David Lloyd-Seed recently joined Powerscourt as the new head of capital markets alongside Marina Calero, Eavan Gannon and Alison Watson, as the consultancy continues the expansion of its IR advisory service. A recent interview with IR Magazine set out what differentiates Powerscourt’s IR offering.

A number of the Powerscourt team are IR and market practitioners and having done the job in-house can properly understand what it entails – whether that’s how you lay out your stall and talk to investors or the market more widely or help management teams think about the approach to capital markets and how capital markets are functioning on a day-to-day basis, and what that means for companies and management.

For corporates MiFID II has somewhat muddied the waters in the competition for capital and made it tougher for companies to stand out. The traditional communication loop is broken in terms of the way it used to function and companies are having to deal with a lot more incoming enquiries.

In order to win in this tougher competition for capital companies need to set out their stall clearly and consistently. Being fully informed on investor thinking will help companies do this as well as make better strategic decisions. Powerscourt is able to offer tailor-made IR services that can help companies put their best foot forward and get the most value out of the listing.
