We are delighted to announce that Powerscourt was named City Agency of the year at the 2020 PRCA City and Financial Awards – a coveted award for those in the financial communications industry.
The award followed a year of progress on all fronts: an active year in financial markets, continued sectoral excellence, further development of the integrated offer, and investment into our corporate purpose and brand. We were also shortlisted for Best M&A Communications on behalf of our client Bovis Homes (renamed to Vistry Group), advising them on their transformational £1.1 billion acquisition of Galliford Try’s housing divisions.
Powerscourt has a track record of success at the awards. Last year we took home IPO of the Year for Yellow Cake plc, our second win in three years for IPOs after winning with Dong Energy in the 2017 awards, and we were shortlisted for a further two awards.
Rory Godson, Chief Executive of Powerscourt, commented:
“Our victory means so much to us because it’s an acknowledgement of everything that makes Powerscourt what it is, not least our brilliant people.
“This award shows that financial and strategic communications is about more than traditional City work. Powerscourt has always excelled at complex, high stakes work beyond the financial calendar and we have built out our offering to encompass a wide range of integrated communications disciplines.
“We’re taking this recognition as licence to keep finding ways to help our clients be better understood.”
